- 1 cup buttermilk
For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:
For the Cupcakes:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, which should take about 2 minutes.

Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in three parts, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Preheat your Holstein Housewares 6-Count Cupcake Maker
Lightly grease the cupcake maker's cavities with cooking spray or a small amount of butter.
Pour the cupcake batter into each cavity, filling them about two-thirds full.
Close the lid and cook the cupcakes according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically for about 6-8 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a cupcake comes out clean.
Carefully remove the cupcakes from the maker and let them cool on a wire rack.
For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
While the cupcakes are still warm, brush the tops with melted butter, and then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over each cupcake.
Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before serving.
