Our friends at Bettersweet join us in the Holstein Kitchen to take our healthy air popped popcorn to the next level of sweetness! This recipe is so quick & easy, we just can’t get enough of it. With the kids back at school this is a great after school snack.
Watch us make our granola bars here or scroll down for step by step instructions.
- 2 cups of granola
- 1 cup of sweetener such as caramel, honey or agave.
- 1/2 cup of chopped peanuts
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp pink salt
Begin by warming up your sweetener so that it is a thick consistency in a large mixing bowl and the add the peanut butter into the bowl.
Once that is well mixed together mix in the granola & add the salt.
While you are preparing the mixture you can start popping the popcorn. Tip: We used our Holstein Hot Air Popcorn Maker.
Once you have popped your popcorn you can mix it into your bowl. Make sure that the popcorn is well covered by the mixture.
Take a shallow cooking sheet and spread the mixture out. Then place the tray in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Once the mix is hardened, remove it from the sheet and cut it into bars.
