With Fourth of July quickly approaching we are getting the BBQ fired up and pre-heating our Cupcake Maker.

These three cupcake makers are fun to make and even more fun to eat!

 1. Blue Velvet Cupcake


2 cups sugar

2 sticks butter

2 eggs

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp blue gel food coloring

1 drop of violet get food coloring

2 ½ cup flour

1 tsp salt

1 cup buttermilk

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp baking soda

1 tbsp vinegar

2. Star Spangled Cupcakes


1 box of white cake mix (plus ingredients needed to prepare mix)

16oz prepared frosting (white, red, and blue)

Small star cookie cutter

These cupcakes are a bigger surprise than the fireworks. With a star in the middle their delicious taste won’t be the only think everyone will be ooo-ing over.

3. Red, White, and Blue


1 white boxed cake mix

4 eggs

1 cup buttermilk

1/3 cup oil

Red food coloring

Blue food coloring

White frosting & lots of sprinkles

Swirl up some yummy red, white and blue cupcakes in minutes. The end result is a little Fourth of July meets tie-dye, kids love them!
