Red Velvet Heart Shaped Waffles w/ Cream Cheese Drizzle

With Valentine’s day near we are gearing up for some heart shaped FUN!

For whatever reason things just taste better when they are in the shape of a heart, plus they look absolutely adorable.

1. Gather The Ingredients

– 1 box of red velvet cake mix

– 4 oz of softened cream cheese

– ¾ cup confectioners sugar

– ½ tsp vanilla

– Pinch of salt

– ¼ cup of milk

– Popsicle sticks

Prepare your red velvet cake mix as instructed on your box. Or you can use your favorite recipe for red velvet cake mix too!

We poured ours into the batter bottle to easily pour into the heart shapes.

2. Pour & Place

Pour the red velvet batter into your maker and then gentle place the popsicle sticks in place. We like to cover the popsicle sticks with a little bit of batter so that they bake into the waffle stick. Allow to bake for 7 minutes.

While they are baking, take a large mixing bowl and mix together your cream cheese, salt, vanilla, and confectioners sugar while slowly adding in the milk. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.

3. Drizzle & Enjoy

Remove your waffle sticks using a silicone spatula and allow them to cool for a few minutes. While they are still warm, drizzle your cream cheese icing over them and enjoy!
