Heart Shaped Strawberry Shortcake Waffle Recipe & How-to Video

Strawberry Shortcake Waffle

Even though Valentine’s day has passed we are still in LOVE with making heart-shaped treats! Our kids seem to enjoy their meal a little bit more, they are actually excited to get up in the morning and have breakfast before school. What a wonderful change!

You can watch us make our waffles here or scroll down for step by step instructions.

1. Gather Your Ingredients

WAFFLE 1

– 1 1/2 lbs strawberries

– 5 tbsp sugar

– 2 cups of all-purpose flour

– 2 tsp of baking powder

– 1/4 tsp of baking soda

– 2 tbsp of sugar

– 3/4 tsp of salt

– 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream

2. Mix, Pour & Bake

In a large mixing bowl combine your dry ingredients, and add in your heavy cream. Mix until you have a smooth batter.

Then slice your strawberries and place to the side.
We transferred our batter into our Holstein Batter Bottle for easy pouring. We poured the batter into our Heart Shaped Waffle Maker and placed the popsicle sticks (optional). We allowed the recipe to bake for just 7 minutes!

3. Sandwich Together & Enjoy!

While your waffles are baking, whip up your favorite whipped cream recipe. Use a silicone spatula to remove the waffles and then place your heavy cream on top. Finish off with your sliced strawberries and then sandwich on top another heart-shaped waffle. Instead of sandwiching your waffles together you can choice to leave them as “open-faced” shortcakes, they are just as delicious!

We hope you enjoyed this recipe!
