Halloween Cupcake Decorations: Witch Hats!

Are you ready to impress your friends, your family AND your taste buds? Awesome, because we’ve got a really great Halloween cupcake recipe to share with you today:

You can create a batch of these tasty Halloween Witch Hat cupcakes in five easy steps. Watch the video below or follow our step-by-step instructions to get started!

Step 1: Gather Ingredients + Bake Cupcakes

To make these sweet little Witch Hat Cupcakes for Halloween you only need four ingredients:

  • Cupcake mix
  • Small waffle cones
  • Green frosting
  • Black and green fondant

Once you have your ingredients gathered, use your FUN Cupcake maker or oven to whip up a batch of cupcakes!

If you’re not familiar with the cupcake maker, here is a picture:

It comes in blue and pink and will look great sitting on your kitchen counter (or it can be easily stowed away since it is not very big).

Step 2: Add Green Frosting to Top of Cupcake

Once your cupcakes have cooled off a little bit, it’s time to add some green frosting. We like to pipe it on but it isn’t necessary. You can just spread the frosting on with a knife if you wish.

Step 3: Cut and Place Chocolate Fondant on Top of Frosting

After you have frosted your cupcake, you will want to reach for your chocolate fondant.

You want to cut circles out of the fondant and then place one chocolate circle on top of each cupcake.

Step 4: Place the Cone Upside Down on Cupcake

Next, add a little bit of green frosting to the bottom of your cones (the frosting acts as glue) and then place the cone on top of the chocolate fondant.

Your Witch Hat Cupcakes are now almost done!

Step 5: Wrap Green Fondant Around Cone

In this final step, cut small strips out of your green fondant and then wrap one strip around each cone to complete the hat.

And now you’re all DONE!
