Chocolate Walnut Truffle Recipe – Holstein Housewares + Casa Gioia

Casa Gioia joins us in the Holstein Kitchen to show us how to make some delicious & easy truffles in our Holstein Cake Pop Maker.
In just 6 minutes these yummy bites are ready to enjoy & decorate. They are a perfect solution for a sweet craving as they are bite size and you can keep them in the fridge for a few days to enjoy them gradually or you can individually wrap them up as sweet little gifts.

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 semi sweet chocolate chips
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
For decorating
Chocolate Coverture, melted
Color sprinkles, chopped nuts, chocolate shavings
Steps:
In a mixing bowl, stir together all the dry ingredients. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugars, vanilla, and vegetable oil. Add dry ingredients and whisk until well combined. With a spatula incorporate the walnuts and chocolate chips.
Pour into your maker and bake for 6 minutes. You want to under-bake these a little as you want them to stay fudgy in the center.
Let them cool completely before coating them with the chocolate coverture and decorating as desired.
